French Kiss Fitness

French Kiss Fitness is a local business found in Ogden and Syracuse!! I personally have participated in a few of the classes that french kiss has to offer. As fun as all of these classes are don't be fooled into thinking they are in any way easy. I currently got sucked into the pole1 class with some of my coworkers and had an absolute blast!!  My warning to anyone interested... you WILL be bruised and sore for the rest of the week!! 

If pole dancing isn't an interest to you don't be scared off, French Kiss offers a ton of other classes to fit really anyone's desires.

Class Descriptions and Attire Suggestions
 
All Things Hand Springs
Pole class designed for all Pole 2-4 students.  You will learn dozens of variations of pole handsprings that range in difficulty.  A pole hand spring is a pole move including both hands on the pole, feet above your head, but not touching the pole.  If you're serious about pole dancing, you must conquer the Hand Spring!
Cotton/spandex shorts, good sports bra, tank top, bare feet.  For added stick, you may want to purchase some Dry Hands lotion at the front desk.
 
Acro Yoga
Group yoga class where students use eachother to master unique and inventive poses that can only be done with a partner.
No partner required.  Wear comfortable clothing that allows you to move freely.  If you don't have a yoga mat, we will provide you with one. 
 
Aerial Silk
 Circus style class learning how to execute movements on a piece of fabric that extends floor to ceiling.
Long pants & bare feet.  You may also want to purchase roisin or Dew Point to help "stick" to the fabric.  Both are available for purchase at the studio.
 
Aerial Hammock
Circus style class using fabric folded into a "U" shape.  Similar to Aerial Silk.
Long pants & bare feet.  You may also want to purchase roisin or Dew Point to help "stick" to the fabric.  Both are available for purchase at the studio.
 
Aerial Hoop
Also known as the Lyra.  A metal hoop suspended in air.  Dancers do tricks underneath, inside, and on top of  the hoop.  Very popular in Cirque style shows. 
Shorts or long pants, bare feet, tank top.
 
Ass Class
An exercise class geared towards your rear end. 
Cardio, toning exercises, and booty dance are all part of Ass Class.
Work out gear.  Tennis shoes and water bottle are strongly suggested. 
 
Ballet Cardio Barre'  NEW!
In this class, you will use traditional ballet barre's in a very non-traditional way. The barre will become your support beam that will help you jump, kick, and flex your way to long and lean muscles.
 
Be Bendy
A class designed to improve flexibility.
Wear comfortable clothing that allows you to move freely.
 
Belly Dance Blast
Traditional belly dance fused with isolations and drills designed to give you a great workout while also learning the art of belly dancing.
Coin skirts optional.  Bare feet, tank, shorts/pants.  Showing your stomach is up to you!
 
Exotic Dance
A dark lit room, black lights, sexy music, and a teacher/choreographer that will help you learn a routine that is "strip club" worthy.  This class will not teach you how to become a stripper.  It's about gaining power through sensual movement. 
Neon and white clothing/shoes will help you glow in the black lit room.  Bring out those tall shoes, sexy outfits, and let your hair down.  It's going to be a wild ride!
 
Fly Gym NEW!
Take flight in our specialized workout hammock designed for extreme comfort while you stretch and pose your way to fitness.
 
Goddess Gathering  NEW!
This class is a bonding class. Your instructor will lead the conversation as each student shares life experiences that may be useful to others in class. Everyone gets the chance to talk, and everybody learns! Together we become closer and we open our minds to possibilities and change.
 
Hip Hop
Our teachers provide a very fun and upbeat style of hip hop that is also very ture to the roots of Hip Hop.  Other studio's provide "cheerleader" Hip Hop.  At French Kiss, our hip hop class is the real deal.  No previous hip hop experience needed.
Street shoes, baggy pants, and a little swagger.
 
Hot Hula  NEW!
HOT HULA fitness® is a fun, new and exciting dance workout. It provides a “total body workout” in 6o minutes. HOT HULA fitness ® isolates your larger muscle groups, increasing strength and definition to your core with specific emphasis on the abs, glutes, quads and arms. Inspired by the dances of the Pacific Islands, HOT HULA fitness® incorporates easy to perform dance movements set to the sounds of traditional Polynesian drum beats fused with funky Reggae music, resulting in a modern, hip fitness workout. All ages and fitness levels will enjoy HOT HULA fitness®.
 
Hot Yoga
Traditional Yoga in temperatures 95-100 degrees.  Sweat out the toxins, gain more flexibilty and leave feeling rejuvinated.  Not recommended for pregnant women.
Your own yoga mat is highly suggested, hand towel, bath towel (for the mat), bottled water.  Wear as little as possible.  The room gets hot and your clothes will get wet.  Spandex/poly blends work best.
 
Kickin' Cardio
A mix of kick boxing and a cardio based fitness class.  If you are looking to burn calories and shed weight, this is your class!
Tennis shoes, workout gear, bottled water & hand towel.
 
Kettle Ball Fitness  NEW!
In this group fitness class, you will use a kettle ball to sculpt your legs and thighs, butt and hips, arms and shoulders, chest and back.  It's a great cardio workout as well!
 
Lyrical Jazz
A fusion of traditional jazz and ballet.  Experience teachers, up to date choreography.
Bare feet or jazz shoes, spandex/cotton pants or shorts.  Sports bra & tank top. 
 
Meditation  NEW!
This isn't your regular meditation experience. Your senses will be pleased with projected images, headphones with sounds to please your ears. You will be pampered with pillows, oven roasted blankets, and fresh water. If you want to open up in a way you've never experienced before, you have to try our Meditation class!
 
Open Pole/Aerial
An hour of practice time.  No instructor, no class cirriculum. 
 A perfect time to practice your moves at your pace.
 
Pilates
Pilates is designed to build your core muscles through repetitive and effective movement.
Cotton Pants, tank, bare feet.  Yoga mat will be provided to those who need one.
 
Pole Aria  NEW!
Do you love the pole?  Do you love aerial silks?  This apparatus has both! You will get into the most challenging pole poses with such ease. With the use of fabric suspended from the pole, you are able to have extra support to help ease you into each pose with little to no help from the instructor.  Must complete Pole 1 & 2 and Aerial Silk 1 before trying Pole Aria.
 
Pole Fitness

Pole Fitness 1 - Spins, strengthening muscles, easy pole dance combinations
Pole Fitness 2 - Inverting (upside down), climbing, difficult spins
Pole Fitness 3 - Difficult inverts, pole combinations, spins, and transitions
Pole Fitness 4 - Stay up to date with the latest moves in pole fitness.  Very difficult combinations, shoulder mounts, hand springs, routine development, and much more.
 
Cotton/Spandex shorts, sports bra, tank, bare feet, stiletto's optional.  For added stick, you may want to purchase a bottle of Dry Hands lotion at the front desk.   Stay away from lotions and moisturizers the day of class.
 
Tummy Tuck
One full hour of working on getting wash board abs.  Very challenging class that will challenge your core.
Workout gear, bottled water.
 
Zumba
A latin flavored dance/workout class.  Easy to catch on, fun, and very challenging.  Great cardio!
Tennis shoes, workout gear, bottled water.
 
Zumba Sentao
